Product Description
Available only mid-December through early March. From the heart of truffle country, the mysterious earthy black nuggets that have been the source of desire and legend for hundreds if not thousands of years. Our truffles are imported directly from European trufflers once per week. We buy only after your order is placed, ensuring you truffles as fresh from the ground as possible. We highly recommend buying larger quantities while the truffles are at their peak and storing in oil, stock, or duck fat for use throughout the year.

The company was founded by John Rusnak, former owner and operator of Capitol Hill Wine & Cheese, one of the first gourmet food stores in Washington, DC. He was also the creator of the Sutton Place Gourmet concept. Sutton Place Gourmet is now a fifteen-store specialty food chain, based in Bethesda, MD.
With his background as a specialty storeowner, chief marketing officer and food writer with broad travel experience, his knowledge and background in the specialty foods industry have enabled him to be a discriminating judge of outstanding food products. He now shares this knowledge with those interested in purchasing only the finest for use in their kitchen.
